<p>POSITION DESCRIPTION</p> <p>JOB TITLE: Campus Athletic Director</p> <p>REPORTS TO: CCA District Director of Athletics</p> <p>STATUS: Salary Exempt, 12-month Calendar</p> <p>_<strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>____</strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></p> <p>Purpose Statement:</p> <p>The campus athletic director is responsible for glorifying God by maintaining an organized and efficient athletic program to ensure student-athletes are disciplined with excellence through athletic participation.</p> <p>Scope:</p> <p>This position oversees all aspects of the campus athletic program. This position represents the athletic department to other CCA departments, the school community, and external stakeholders (officials, opponents, facilities, etc.).</p> <p>Specific Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Oversee, guide, and evaluate the athletic administrative staff in areas including but not limited to:</p> </li><li> <p>Master Schedule</p> </li><li> <p>Transportation</p> </li><li> <p>Field Assignments</p> </li><li> <p>Athletic Eligibility</p> </li><li> <p>Equipment and Inventory</p> </li><li> <p>Officials</p> </li><li> <p>Safety and Security</p> </li><li> <p>Field Lights</p> </li><li> <p>Livestream Cameras</p> </li><li> <p>Statistics</p> </li><li> <p>Internal Facility Reservations (Ministry Platform)</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure an efficient and effective athletic schedule for over 70 teams and 19 sports, Intramural programs, and summer camps</p> </li><li> <p>Assign game supervision responsibilities to make sure every contest is appropriately supported.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee and evaluate coaching staff, provide staff observations and effective feedback for improvement</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate necessary follow-up on any issues involving students, faculty and staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Address and respond to concerns raised by school community stakeholders to provide support, growth, and accountability.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop policies, plans and procedures related to the athletics program in consultation with the system athletic director</p> </li><li> <p>Continually evaluate existing programs, practices, and content.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain appropriate memberships with accrediting agencies, student eligibility, etc. (FHSAA, ACSI, FACA, etc.)</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee safe and effective administration of all athletic contests.</p> </li><li> <p>Observe and report facility improvement/repair to the appropriate personnel</p> </li><li> <p>Liaise with internal external stakeholders and departments including, but not limited to:</p> </li><li> <p>Facilities - Grounds, Maintenance, Events, Custodial, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Communications Department</p> </li><li> <p>Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale departments</p> </li><li> <p>Officials associations</p> </li><li> <p>Florida High School Athletics Association</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications/Skills/Gifts:</p> <ul> <li>Strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ. </li><li>Strong commitment to the Philosophy and Statement of Faith of Calvary Chapel and to the Mission Statement of Calvary Christian Academy. </li><li>Completion of level two servant requirements, working towards level four. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills. </li><li>Gifts of administration and discernment. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills for relating effectively with staff members, leadership and the school body. </li><li>Excellent telephone skills. </li><li>Excellent computer and typing skills to manipulate computer applications, emails, and the google suite. </li><li>Flexible with good time management skills. </li><li>Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time. </li><li>Ability to be trusted with confidential information. </li><li>Ability to prioritize. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule:</p> <p>Sunday Off</p> <p>Monday-Friday *7:30 am - 3:30 pm - Office Hours</p> <p>Saturday *As needed</p> <ul> <li>Administrative game coverage assignments occur outside of these hours. Campus athletic director will collaborate with the Director of CCA Athletics to ensure proper "Soul Keeping" in maintaining a healthy work-life balance. </li></ul>
