<p>RELIEF KITCHEN WORKER</p> <p>GENERAL SUMMARY</p> <p>The purpose of this job is to work with the other cooks to serve varied and nutritious meals to the Juvenile Home residents and staff using federally standardized recipes.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Daily preparation of nutritious and varied meals utilizing Federal Standardized Recipes. </li><li>Follow daily cleaning schedule for assigned shift. </li><li>Inventory all knives at the beginning and end of each shift. </li><li>Properly operate and maintain kitchen and appliances. </li><li>Provide direction to Day Treatment participants who are assigned to kitchen duty. </li><li>Clear knowledge of and adherence to all facility policies and procedures. </li><li>Ensure that all foods are prepared, served, and stored at proper temperatures. </li><li>Perform related work as required. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Required Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma (or GED equivalent) </li><li>At least 2 years of related work experience working in a moderate size kitchen </li><li>Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities. </li></ul> <p>VETERANS: Please provide your joint services transcript with your application.</p> <p>Starting Salary: $15.94</p> <p>Part-time 8 - 40 hrs. weekly.
