<p>This opportunity is available to Internal Applicants</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>Tram drivers operate tram vehicles in a safe and professional manner as outlined in the Tram Driver training manual. Emphasis will be placed on customer service and vehicular safety. Tram drivers provide narration for the tour of the Garden grounds, collections, and exhibits, when necessary.</p> <p>Specific Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintenance of vehicle; including fueling and cleaning </li><li>Safely transport passengers through Garden grounds while providing narrative explanation </li><li>Observance of all institutional and departmental policies and procedures </li><li>Keep up-to-date and knowledgeable on all Garden events, programs, and current exhibitions; inform visitors about all areas of the Garden </li><li>Conduct transactions in accordance with policies and procedures set forth by the Visitor Experience department </li><li>Act as a Visitor Experience Attendant and/or perform other duties as needed </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must have a valid driver's license for a minimum of (1) years </li><li>Must have good communication skills </li><li>Available to work weekends, weekdays, and holidays </li><li>Previous customer service experience desired </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands and work environment</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and to be outdoors, </li><li>Ability to stand and or walk for long periods </li><li>Ability to move up to 50lbs. </li></ul> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.</p> <p>Pay Rate: $21 per hour</p> <p>Baseline schedule: 9am - 6pm Thursday - Sunday</p> <p>If you require an accommodation for any part of the application process, please notify the Human Resources department at HR@nybg.org.</p> <p>EOE/BIPOC/F/Persons with disabilities/Veterans</p>
