Succeed. #BeHere</p> <p>Location: US:WI:MILWAUKEE at our FROEDTERT HOSPITAL facility.</p> <p>This job is ON - SITE.</p> <p>FTE: 0.900000</p> <p>Shift: Shift 1</p> <p>Work schedule: 4 nine hour shifts/week from 8am-5:30pm with one consistent day off during the week. Weekday/weekend/holiday call rotation.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Radiology Procedural Nurse delivers expert, patient-centered care to inpatients and outpatients undergoing diagnostic and advanced imaging procedures in CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy. This role ensures safe and timely care before, during, and after procedures, working closely with radiologists, technologists, and care teams in a fast-paced setting.</p> <p>The Registered Nurse is a practitioner who is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in delivery of care to a primarily adult population. The Staff RN-Inpatient job description has incorporated essential functions which are adapted from the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010).</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide specialized nursing care across multiple imaging modalities </li><li>Administer moderate sedation and monitor patient safety throughout procedures </li><li>Conduct assessments, start IVs, manage pre/post-procedure care, and patient discharge </li><li>Coordinate the flow of inpatient procedures by communicating with the inpatient RN and ensuring seamless handoff </li><li>Administer medications specific to certain procedures. </li><li>Educate patients/families and ensure clear post-procedure instructions </li><li>Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize care </li><li>Maintain accurate documentation and follow safety/infection protocols </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations specific to area of employment.</p> <ul> <li>2+ years inpatient or 1+ year critical/emergency care experience; radiology experience preferred </li><li>Skilled in IVs, sedation monitoring, and patient assessment preferred </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse is required. Upon hire any non-BSN nurse with less than one year of licensed registered nurse experience will be required to enroll in a BSN (or higher nursing degree) program. Acceptance into a program is expected within 15 months of hire and the degree program must be completed within 5 years of enrollment, or 6 years if program is MSN, DNP or PhD in Nursing. Bachelors Degree in Nursing is preferred.</p> <p>LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
