<p>Description</p> <p>The Ironworker Leadman assists the Foreman in supervising a crew of ironworkers, providing leadership for structural steel erection, reinforcing steel installation, and rigging activities. This role serves as a working leader, performing skilled ironwork while ensuring the crew operates safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assist the Foreman in planning and coordinating the daily tasks for the ironworker crew</p> </li><li> <p>Lead and direct a small team in the erection of structural steel, including rigging, connecting, bolting, and welding</p> </li><li> <p>Guide the placement and tying of reinforcing steel (rebar) for concrete structures</p> </li><li> <p>Read and interpret fabrication drawings and erection plans to ensure steel is installed correctly</p> </li><li> <p>Perform hands-on ironworking tasks, such as connecting beams, columns, and girders, and installing decking</p> </li><li> <p>Direct crane and rigging operations, ensuring all lifts are performed safely and efficiently</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure the crew adheres to all fall protection plans and other safety protocols specific to ironworking</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate work progress, equipment needs, and any safety concerns to the Foreman</p> </li><li> <p>Mentor and train less-experienced ironworkers in proper techniques and safety procedure</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum of 8 years' experience</p> </li><li> <p>Must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the Company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to assess through Burns and McDonnell assessment program</p> </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to stand, walk, sit, or reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, push and pull</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to use repetitive hand motions and the ability to grasp and operate field tools and equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to climb on, in or through equipment in confined spaces and elevated work using fall protection harnesses</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work long hours with infrequent days off, night shifts, and in adverse climates</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to use respirators or Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to utilize vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to lift, carry and or move up to 50 pounds</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work in an environment with loud noises and vibrations for extended periods of time</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to properly wear and/or use Personal Protection Equipment</p> </li></ul> <p>COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to seek advice, make decisions, exercise sound judgement, and solve problems</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work under stressful situations</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to learn and adopt new processes and technology</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to apply verbal and/or written instructions or other information</p> </li></ul> <p>This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.</p> <p>EEO/Disabled/Veterans</p> <p>Job Craft</p> <p>Primary Location US-KY-Harrodsburg</p> <p>Schedule: Full-time</p> <p>Travel: Yes, 100 % of the Time</p> <p>Req ID: 261649</p> <p>Job Hire Type Experienced #LI-DNI #CSP</p>
