<p>Department</p> <p>College of Music</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>This position leads the newly-formed Center for Music Leadership and Community Engagement at the FSU College of Music. As Director, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in establishing and shaping the Center's future and ensuring the continued success of Community Engagement at the College of Music.</p> <p>Additionally:</p> <ul> <li>This position is responsible for leading strategic initiatives that connect the College of Music with local, regional, and national communities. </li><li>This role will develop collaborative partnerships within and outside of the College of Music, oversee the College of Music Arts Administration program, and advance the college's mission through music-focused community engagement, professional development for musicians and educators, and entrepreneurial projects. </li></ul> <p>Annual Assignment of Responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Development of interdisciplinary community programs </li><li>Maximizing music-focused service-learning opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students </li><li>Building partnerships with organizations to include non-profits, schools, and local arts organizations </li><li>Oversight of arts administration and community music internships and coordination of hands-on experiential learning with faculty and partners </li><li>Leadership of micro-credential courses and continuing education initiatives </li><li>Supporting entrepreneurial student projects, primarily in the College of Music </li><li>Administration of the College of Music MA in Arts Administration degree program, which will include teaching, supervision, and mentorship. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>A graduate degree in music, arts administration, or a related field is required at the time of appointment. </li><li>The successful candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a leadership position demonstrating expertise in music programming, community engagement, program development, partnership building, and interpersonal strengths in collaboration and flexibility. Additionally, this position necessitates strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Experience in grant writing, fundraising, and budget management is also required. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>We are especially interested in candidates holding a doctoral degree in a related field of study.
