<p>Equipment Operator</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>Kubota has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 1890. Yet, throughout the years, one thing has remained absolute: We create solutions that support the lives of human beings.</p> <p>Because of that, Kubota needs experts who can operate heavy machinery to get our products where they need to go.</p> <p>Equipment Operators assist Parts and Wholegoods with shipping, receiving and storage at Kubota's warehouses and distribution centers. To accomplish this, Equipment Operators use machinery such as stand up/sit down forklifts, stock chasers and cherry pickers.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Obtains orders and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas within the facility. </li><li>Moves goods packed on pallets or in crates. </li><li>Loads and unloads Kubota parts and equipment onto or into trailer utility, which may require operating equipment including but not limited to; tractors, excavators and/or RTV's. </li><li>Stacks goods in correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions. </li><li>Checks to ensure that trucks are properly loaded and materials and equipment are secure. </li><li>Stacks empty pallets. </li><li>Performs daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery. </li><li>Maintains housekeeping expectations for all equipment utilized. </li><li>Maintains standard housekeeping expectations throughout shift. </li><li>Examines products to verify compliance to quality standards. </li><li>Other duties as assigned by management. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED preferred. </li><li>Willingness to work any shifts (days, nights and/or weekends). </li><li>Certified to operate various equipment including but not limited to; stand up/sit down forklifts, stock chaser and/or cherry pickers as required according to OSHA standards. </li><li>Knowledge, skill and ability to safely manage loads of heavy equipment, tires and/or pallets of parts. </li><li>Ability to use computer systems and/or RF scanner to input and retrieve information. </li><li>Basic math and computer skills required. </li><li>High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others and promote a safe work environment. </li><li>Follow and adhere to all policies and procedures. </li><li>Ability to execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner. </li></ul> <p>Language Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English. </li></ul> <p>Equipment Operation</p> <ul> <li>Stand up/sit down forklifts, stock chaser and/or cherry pickers. </li><li>Office equipment including computer, copier, phone, printer. RF scanner. </li><li>Equipment operation; dock locks </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Regularly sitting and/or standing on powered equipment. </li><li>Frequently lifting up to 50 pounds. </li><li>Ability to bend, stoop, turn, pivot, walk and/or stand for 8+ hours. </li><li>A good sense of balance and coordination. </li><li>Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights. </li><li>Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet. </li><li>Ability to work in varying temperatures depending upon the season both indoors and out. </li><li>Ability to wear various PPE including fall protection harnesses, seat belt restraints and gloves. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <ul> <li>Flatbed trailers require extensive knowledge of crate size, weight distribution and height requirements. Must have the ability to climb on load which could be as high as 13 feet 6 inches. </li></ul>
