<p>We seek a highly motivated and experienced Kitchen Staff Worker to prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children in a licensed child care ministry . The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy kitchen environment while adhering to all regulatory agency guidelines and regulations.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assistant in preparing all meals and snacks following CACFP approved menus and directives. </li></ul> <p>Using the food buying Guide for Child Nutrition Program provided by the USDA when creating new recipes in order to ensure that the proper components are</p> <p>provided.</p> <p>Complete annual CACFP trainings and all other required trainings.</p> <p>Maintain daily count of meals served.</p> <ul> <li>Keep accurate records including inventory and production records. </li><li>Comply with all Center regulations and guidelines. </li><li>Comply with all regulatory agency guidelines and regulations. </li></ul> <p>Record freezer and refrigerator temperatures each morning .</p> <p>prepare/ plate and deliver meals to classrooms.</p> <p>Retrieve meal dishes from the classroom after each meal daily.</p> <p>Every morning prepare water and cups for classroom</p> <ul> <li>Wash kitchenware and tableware. </li></ul> <p>Wash and sanitize tables before and after each meal .</p> <p>Sweep cafeteria floors after each meal .</p> <ul> <li>Maintain a sanitary kitchen by keep kitchen, appliances, etc. clean, sanitized, and in good working condition. </li><li>Complete accurate food order requests and grocery shopping as needed. </li><li>Inventory food supply, reporting food supply needs to the Head Cook. </li></ul> <p>Submit food and milk receipts on a weekly basis for audit</p> <p>Maintain an up to date record of food allergies.</p> <ul> <li>Report to the Administrate Assistant any maintenance or non-food supply needs in the kitchen. </li><li>Assist with ordering supplies if requested. </li><li>Properly store food and non-food supplies upon delivery. </li><li>Keep all food items stored properly and at the appropriate temperature. </li><li>Date all food items. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or equivalent plus professional experience in food service and/or nutrition. </li><li>Preferred: five years professional experience in food service and/or nutrition. </li></ul> <p>Food Handling License</p> <p>Must have valid Driver license / car insurance and dependable vehicle</p> <p>Must be able to work independently / get along with other/ team player</p> <p>Must have good Written and verbal communication skill</p> <p>Physical and Mental Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift 40 pounds. </li><li>Ability to reach over head. </li><li>Good personal hygiene (clean clothes, hair, hands, nails, etc.). </li><li>Ability to bend down. </li><li>Finger dexterity. </li><li>Ability to read and understand all documents. </li><li>Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. </li><li>Ability to remain calm in crisis situations. </li></ul> <p>Must have a negative TB test</p> <p>Must submit and pass a back ground check and drug screen</p> <p>We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply.</p> <p>relaxing work environment</p> <p>paid time off after 90 days</p> <p>paid Holidays</p>
