Visit Homewood Benefits for all the details.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Provides clerical support associated with resident care and facility operations.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Treats all information about residents, their condition, and family as confidential information. </li><li>Complies with established Corporate and Departmental policies and procedures, and maintains established standards and practices. </li><li>Records pertinent information to prepare medical records on new residents. </li><li>Records information concisely, accurately and completely. </li><li>Keeps files of medical records on residents in an organized and accurate manner. </li><li>Coordinates communication among other departments regarding resident information. </li><li>Arranges appointments for residents with health care providers. </li><li>Completes requisitions needed for the daily operation of the nursing department. </li><li>Provides other clerical functions for the nursing department. </li><li>Enters resident charges daily. </li><li>Assist resident's with meals and feeding as needed. </li><li>Performs other functions as directed by the supervisor. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of medical terminology. </li><li>Keyboard speed of 40 wpm; ability to use computer and word processing software; knowledge of office style manual. </li><li>Ability to read, write and understand English well. </li><li>Detailed and results-focused with consistency. </li><li>Must have organizational skills and be able to do sequential events. </li><li>Ability to communicate to residents at a level they can understand. </li><li>Good skills in spelling and punctuation. </li><li>Complete 8hr State approved Feeding Assistant Program. </li></ul>
