<p>Mobile Crisis Responder</p> <p>Location: Park Forest, IL</p> <p>Schedule: Full-Time (Evenings & Weekends Required)</p> <p>Pay Range: $16.82 - $20.19/hour (based on experience)</p> <p>Make an Immediate Impact When It Matters Most</p> <p>Aunt Martha's Health & Wellness is deeply committed to strengthening the well-being of our communities by providing equitable, compassionate, and responsive care. As a Mobile Crisis Responder, you will play a critical role in supporting youth and families during moments of acute mental health crisis-meeting people where they are and helping restore safety, stability, and hope.</p> <p>This is a hands-on, fast-paced role for professionals who remain calm under pressure, lead with empathy, and are motivated by meaningful, real-time impact.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Mobile Crisis Responder provides in-person crisis intervention services to youth under the age of 21 experiencing significant mental health emergencies that may pose a risk to themselves or others. Responders deliver immediate assessment, stabilization, safety planning, and connection to ongoing care to prevent escalation and unnecessary hospitalization.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li> <p>Respond to crisis referrals within Designated Service Area (DSA) #25</p> </li><li> <p>Accept and respond to CARES line referrals on a no-decline basis</p> </li><li> <p>Arrive in person within 90 minutes of referral receipt</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct screenings and assessments using the Illinois Medicaid Crisis Assessment Tool (IM-CAT)</p> </li><li> <p>Provide immediate crisis stabilization, de-escalation, and short-term intervention</p> </li><li> <p>Develop short-term crisis and safety plans with youth and families</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate reunification, family-generated placement, or psychiatric hospitalization when necessary</p> </li><li> <p>Complete all crisis documentation accurately and in real time</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with Care Coordinators and participate in short-term Child & Family Team (CFT) involvement for Pathways clients</p> </li><li> <p>Provide follow-up, linkage, and referrals to appropriate community resources</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain on-call availability during scheduled shifts</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in supervision, team meetings, trainings, and community outreach efforts</p> </li><li> <p>Comply with all Illinois mandated reporting laws and agency protocols</p> </li></ul> <p>Trauma-Informed Care Commitment</p> <p>All Mobile Crisis Responders practice trauma-informed care grounded in the 5 S's:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Safety - Physical and emotional</p> </li><li> <p>Self-Regulation - Managing emotions during crisis response</p> </li><li> <p>Supportiveness - Respectful, compassionate engagement</p> </li><li> <p>Strengths - Identifying and reinforcing client resilience</p> </li><li> <p>Self-Care - Addressing secondary trauma and stress</p> </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related human services field required</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum 1 year of experience working with at-risk youth and/or crisis response</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Availability for evenings, weekends, and flexible scheduling</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to transport clients using a personal vehicle</p> </li><li> <p>Strong documentation, communication, and de-escalation skills</p> </li><li> <p>Openness to feedback and continuous professional growth</p> </li></ul> <p>Licensure & Documentation</p> <ul> <li> <p>Valid Illinois driver's license with a clean driving record</p> </li><li> <p>Proof of current automobile insurance</p> </li></ul> <p>Compensation & Benefits</p> <ul> <li> <p>Hourly pay: $16.82 - $20.19</p> </li><li> <p>Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance</p> </li><li> <p>Life & Disability Insurance</p> </li><li> <p>Paid Vacation, Sick Time, and Holidays</p> </li><li> <p>Retirement Plan</p> </li><li> <p>Employee Assistance Program (EAP)</p> </li><li> <p>Employee discounts on mobile plans, dining, and other services</p> </li></ul> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer</p> <p>Aunt Martha's Health & Wellness is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
