We believe in the power of our talented teams and strive to create environments where employees find purpose and fulfillment.</p> <p>What you'll do:</p> <p>As a Manager, Coding Quality, you will be?responsible for providing guidance on quality projects involving coding and clinical documentation improvement (CDI) in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures. Participates in the identification of educational areas for the company.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute ongoing education/training based on findings of ongoing coding quality audits for hospital staff, leadership, and colleagues regarding coding in adherence to The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) Standards of Ethical Coding, The Association of Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist (ACDIS) Code of Ethics, Official Coding Guidelines, LifePoint Health policies and procedures, and The International Classification of Disease tenth revision (ICD-10) rules and regulations. </li><li>Must be familiar with Diagnosis Related Groups (DRGs), Ambulatory Payment Categories APC's), the Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS), Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS), National Correct Coding Initiative guidelines, Local and National Coverage Decisions and other medical necessity/compliance guidelines for billing and coding. </li><li>Monitor and supervise coding quality review engagement scheduling and progress of reviews; propose modifications as necessary to improve audit effectiveness and efficiency. </li><li>Prepare and present audit summaries to the Health Support Center (HSC) operations leadership team as well as divisional and enterprise leadership as required. </li><li>Uses independent discretion/decision making while effectively working alone. </li><li>Attends educational webinars, conference calls, other coding seminars, and participates in all formal and informal coding discussions. Complete all assigned compliance courses within assigned period of time. </li><li>Maintain at least twenty (20) continuing education hours annually and maintain required credentials. </li><li>Conforms to AHIMA's Code of Ethics and Standards of Ethical Coding, LifePoint Attendance Policy and ensures patient/employee privacy and dignity by maintaining confidentiality with no infractions. </li><li>Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned. </li></ul> <p>What you'll need:</p> <ul> <li>Education: Associate degree or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities; Bachelor's degree preferred. </li><li>Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience, preferably in auditing or coding, with 3 years' specific experience in hospital/clinical coding. </li><li>Certifications: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT). </li><li>Travel: Less than 10%. </li></ul> <p>Why choose us:</p> <p>As a team member of the Health Support Center, our goal is to support those that are in our facilities who are interfacing and providing care to our patients and community members.
