<p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Phlebotomist will obtain and prepare specimens for analysis and perform various screening tests. Provide basic medical care to patients under the supervision of RNs/Physicians. Advocates for patient safety and protocol integrity, adheres to standards, and communicates effectively to ensure effective conduct of clinical trials and quality patient care.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Obtains, and documents vital signs to include pulse, blood pressure, temperature, respiratory rate, height, and weight</p> </li><li> <p>Confirms and documents fasting status</p> </li><li> <p>Obtains and documents pain scale and fatigue scale</p> </li><li> <p>Obtains clinical labs and study specific specimens according to the patients schedule and protocol guidelines</p> </li><li> <p>Obtains good quality ECGs according to the patients schedule and protocol guidelines</p> </li><li> <p>Assists RNs/Physicians with procedures or examinations</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares laboratory requisitions and supplies</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains cleanliness of draw stations and work areas</p> </li><li> <p>Inventories and requests supplies as necessary</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma or equivalent</p> </li><li> <p>Current BLS required</p> </li><li> <p>MA Certification required</p> </li><li> <p>Previous experience in a health-related field preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us?</p> <p>At NEXT Oncology (an Avacare Business), you'll be part of a mission-driven team that values collaboration, precision, and patient safety. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.</p>
