<ul> <li> <p>JOB REQUIREMENTS</p> </li><li> <p>Education</p> </li><li> <p>Completion of a Bachelor's degree with course work in computer information systems and/or Cisco Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP or equivalent certification preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience</p> </li><li> <p>Requires 7-10 years of experience in network engineering in an enterprise environment. Four years of experience in a hospital environment preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Physical</p> </li><li> <p>Normal hospital environment. Occasional exposure to changes in temperature in computer room. Close eye work. Hearing within normal range for telephone. Use of calculator, bar code scanner, computer, printer, copy machine and fax machine. Some bending and reaching for filing and reports. Continuous sitting. Some physical installation of equipment. Occasional lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 30 pounds. Please see the St. Bernards Substance Abuse Policy for further information.</p> </li><li> <p>JOB SUMMARY</p> </li><li> <p>Employees at this level work under the guidelines of the IT Infrastructure Manager with minimal supervision to support a broad range of network architectures and network projects. They are able to handle multiple projects at the same time, and are able to complete projects on time and within budget. Ability to complete network projects from start to finish, with minimal supervision. Can work with other teams and communicate in a way that makes projects successful. Takes ownership of projects. Trains lower level network engineers. Documents technical processes and procedures. Gives technical recommendations to the IT Infrastructure Manager when requested. Designs and implements procedures for optimizing the network software and hardware products. Performs duties outlined in Level I and II of this series as required. Performs other duties as assigned. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Rotating on-call required. Reports to IT Infrastructure Manager.</p> </li></ul>
