<p>About the Employer</p> <p>Santa Rosa Academy is a K-12 public charter school, established in 2005 and chartered out of the Menifee Union School District. We serve students in Riverside county with site-based, home study, and a combination of home study/on-site programs accreditated by the Schools Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Our mission is to create a school that is highly regarded for academic excellence within a flexible and innovative learning environment that will effectively develop, sustain and enhance the skills necessary to be lifelong learners and productive citizens.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Under the direction of the Elementary Principal or assigned designee, acts as educational advisor to assigned independent study families assigned to the Red Track program; to provide lesson plans, assist in grading/assessments and provide effective teaching strategies to families to support their child's learning environment at home; develop, organize and assist in the operation of the independent study program and instruct independent study workshops for students; perform other related functions as required. Incumbents are fully homebased and provide support to assigned families.</p> <p>Requirements / Qualifications</p> <p>Start Date - August 4, 2025 - Independent Study Red Track Program 30 students to advise $11,750 in Health and Welfare Benefits Longevity Stipend at 5 Years of service RED TRACK - 2nd/3rd Grade THIS IS FOR THE INDEPENDENT STUDY PROGRAM. TEACHER WORK FROM HOME FOR 4 DAYS PER WEEK AND COME TO CAMPUS ON WEDNESDAY FOR MEETINGS. Initial Salary Placement: Initial step placement upon hire shall be determined by the Director of Human Resources and the Superintendent of Santa Rosa Academy, based on: -Verification of degree/additional units (column placement) - Units acceptable to initial placement must have been earned subsequent to the B.A. or B.S. degree. Units beyond Column I are semester units. Quarter units are converted to semester units on a scale of three (3) units to two (2) semester units. (Quarter Units x .667 = semester units.) Official transcript or official credit certificate will be required as verification for Column placement within thirty (30) calendar days from first day of paid service. (Column 1-6) -Verification of years of service (step placement) - Credit will be given for all verified full-time service. A year must equal at least 75% of the calendared work year days in one year. Credit will not be given for substitute or student teaching. Verification of employment will be required on a school verification form within thirty (30) calendar days from first day of paid service.
