<p>Overview</p> <p>Works within the Division of Client & Caregiver Services and supports Division Manager along with working in cooperation with Office staff, other county staff and the general public, to provide information and assistance.</p> <p>Title: Applications Lead</p> <p>Civil Service Title: Community Service Worker</p> <p>Reports To: Division Manager, Client & Caregiver Services</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Assist Division Manager as back up for various Disabled and Aging responsibilities and/or tasks within the Division.</p> <ul> <li>General knowledge of all programs the Office offers. </li><li>Lead in reviewing all program applications. </li><li>Ensures all information submitted with a program application is complete and accurate prior to moving forward for approval and/or denial. </li><li>Required to conduct home/community visits as needed. </li><li>Application follow up for people who have been sent an application but have not returned for processing. </li><li>Provides provision of specific information or assistance to or on behalf of individuals, or links them with information on services available within the community; and provides follow up when necessary to ensure all concerns have been addressed. </li><li>Utilize an approved database to capture all required components of the contact as well as to enter unit(s) of service delivery documented directly within the State and/or County software platform along with other assigned aspects of assistance as required. </li><li>Develop a rapport with the individual utilizing appropriate listening and communication skills. </li><li>Prepare clear, sound, accurate information. For example, client notes, monthly report. </li><li>Fill in coverage on an as needed basis. </li><li>Assist with SHIP related questions as needed. </li><li>Required to attend and complete various trainings - for example County and/or State. </li><li>Perform all other responsibilities assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Education: Bachelor's degree (major in Social Work or related field a plus)</p> <p>Experience: One year of experience performing complex administrative support work or in working with the aged and/or disabled population.</p> <p>Language: Bilingual - Spanish</p> <ul> <li>Will be required to become a SHIP trained counselor within the first year of employment based on available training dates </li><li>Must possess a valid New Jersey driver's license </li><li>Will be required to learn to utilize various computer programs: State Data Base System, Word, Excel for example. </li><li>Must be organized, self-motivated, and have the ability to carry out recurring assignments independently and in accord with established procedures, and policies. </li><li>Ability to develop and maintain effective work relations with supervisors, co-workers. </li><li>Work to promote a healthy work environment. </li></ul> <p>The anticipated starting base pay for this position is:</p> <ul> <li>$43,000-$48,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. </li></ul> <p>Benefits: You can build your own future while helping to build the future of your community.
