Robotics Coordinator</p> <p>SALARY: Commensurate with salary schedules</p> <p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</p> <p>Training and Experience Preferred.</p> <p>Job Title: Advisor</p> <p>GENERAL DESCRIPTION</p> <p>Organizes and directs activities for the team/club/class.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Training and experience preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Valid certificate/license as issued by the Ohio Department of Education</p> </li></ul> <p>PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Promote outstanding public relations by maintaining effective working relationships with students, peers, parents and community.</p> </li><li> <p>Always positively represent the Loveland City School District with one's words, actions and behavior.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a professional relationship with all students at all times, and comply with state and federal laws related to maintaining confidential information.</p> </li><li> <p>Adhere to all federal, state and local laws and statutes regarding criminal activity, and adhere to all policies of the Board of Education or Ohio Department of Education.</p> </li><li> <p>Have a positive mindset about all situations and interactions.</p> </li><li> <p>Punctuality and outstanding attendance</p> </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li> <p>Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in adapting students entering high school and throughout their high school career</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates and judges tryouts for the team/club/class selection and team/club/class captain.</p> </li><li> <p>Supervises and advises students on the team/club/class.</p> </li><li> <p>Supervises the selection process of captains/officers</p> </li><li> <p>Instructs captains/officers on their performance and responsibilities in developing their leadership skills</p> </li><li> <p>Supervises student meetings and practices and directs their function.</p> </li><li> <p>Instruct students in design, schedule, layout, print and deadline, if applicable</p> </li><li> <p>Teaches fundamentals and operation of computer software used, if applicable</p> </li><li> <p>Proofreads all materials</p> </li><li> <p>Provides tools and materials to the team/club/class for memorization or utilization.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares the team/club/class for competitions.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversees all after-school and evening practices</p> </li><li> <p>Organizes and oversees an activity budget, money making projects and special activities, expending of funds, balancing books and filing necessary paperwork</p> </li><li> <p>Collects monies, coordinates orders, and distribution for uniforms/shirts/accessories</p> </li><li> <p>Serves as liaison between students, parents and administrators</p> </li><li> <p>Presents awards at annual recognition banquets and assemblies</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in in-services and attends sponsored clinics</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates with parents regarding activities, schedule, expectations, costs and other announcements regarding the team/club/class</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborates with their supervisor/department head to develop a consistent and positive public communications procedure through the school and media to inform parents and general public about their program or event under their supervision</p> </li><li> <p>Reports all injuries and misconduct immediately to Principal or designee. Complete and submit all necessary injury report forms</p> </li><li> <p>Enforces discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times, and establishes and oversees penalties for breach of school standards by individual students</p> </li><li> <p>Assumes responsibility for maintaining a high level of participation</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates and supervises applicable activities</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates team/club/class information to joint vocational school students, if applicable</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates efforts of other faculty personnel that are assigned to various grade levels</p> </li><li> <p>Plans and organizes camp activities, if applicable</p> </li><li> <p>Attends summer practices/events, if applicable</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates and administers traditional community service programs, if applicable</p> </li></ul> <p>OTHER INFORMATION ASSOCAITED WITH THIS POSITION</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to speak effectively before groups of students, parents or employees of the district.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from students, parents, agencies, teachers or members of the school community.</p> </li><li> <p>Exhibit qualities of leadership and organizational ability and reflect a spirit of cooperation in working with staff and school administration.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in specific field.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements, Board of Education policies and state athletic association by-laws.</p> </li><li> <p>Frequent repetitive hand motion, e.g., computer keyboard, typing, calculator, writing</p> </li><li> <p>Frequent requirement to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see, read, speak, reach, stretch with hands and arms, crouch, kneel, and stoop</p> </li><li> <p>The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.</p> </li><li> <p>The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to very loud.</p> </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Supervises students of particular program and applicable assistants.</p>
