The Special Education Teacher is responsible for providing individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities, ensuring access to the general education curriculum in accordance with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP). This role involves collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement effective instructional strategies. Responsibilities include adapting lessons, conducting assessments, maintaining accurate documentation, and fostering an inclusive classroom environment that promotes the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students. The candidate should possess strong communication skills, knowledge of special education laws and practices, and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Learning Language Disabilities classroom. Ability to supervise classroom paraprofessionals.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>1) Teacher of Elementary / Teacher of Middle School or Teacher of K12</p> <p>2) A valid New Jersey TOH or TOSD certification is required.
