<p>Job Title: Life Safety & EOC Inspector</p> <p>Unit: Plant Services and Engineering</p> <p>Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm</p> <p>Status: Full-time/ 80 Hours Per Pay</p> <p>Facility: Atrium Medical Center</p> <p>General Summary/Responsibilities:</p> <p>The Environment of Care / Life Safety validation inspector is responsible for the Above Ceiling process, and the Fire Watch process. This position will also be responsible for above ceiling inspections to document fire and smoke walls integrity is intact and addressing those deficiencies on the spot (if it's minor and can be completed in <10min.) or through the TMA system if it's a larger repair / correction is estimated to be >10min. If the deficiency is discovered during construction, or as part of an above ceiling permit, Inspector will address with the vendor responsible for the deficiency.</p> <p>EDUCATION</p> <ul> <li>Minimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED </li><li>Additional requirements: </li><li>Type of degree: N/A </li><li>Area of study or major: N/A </li><li>Preferred educational qualifications: Associate degree </li><li>Position specific testing requirement: N/A </li></ul> <p>LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION</p> <ul> <li>CHPE within the 1st year. </li><li>NFPA certified door inspector certification within the first 6 months </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Minimum Level of Experience Required: 1 - 3 years of job-related experience </li><li>Prior job title or occupational experience: N/A </li><li>Prior specific functional responsibilities: TMA experience: creating, issuing, closing work orders </li><li>Preferred experience: Microsoft Office, Lawson (Requisitions). </li><li>Other experience requirements: </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS</p> <ul> <li>Significant knowledge of NFPA and Life Safety Code (see licensure timing and requirements above), Computer literacy and knowledge to work with MVH computer systems and software </li></ul>
