<p>The Facilities/Maintenance Mechanic Tech I assists in area maintenance work requests with facilities and production maintenance team. They also ensure preparatory and finish activities to support hard floor maintenance schedules are completed. This position is on 1st shift in Utica, NY with the hours Monday-Friday of 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.</p> <p>Key Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in mechanical service calls and in-house repair throughout facilities and grounds. </li><li>Assist in routine equipment repair and installation of office fixtures. </li><li>Perform work in one or more maintenance trades including carpentry, electrical, plumbing and painting. </li><li>Assist the Facilities Maintenance Team to ensure the timely completion of preventative maintenance orders. </li><li>Monitor fire extinguishers, alarms, sprinkling systems, eye wash stations, etc. </li><li>Support EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) Coordinator with Hazcom training per established program and schedule. </li><li>Assist in spot audits for safety compliance. </li><li>Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High School Degree or Equivalency </li><li>0-1+ years of relevant work experience </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to utilize a variety of tools/equipment to complete tasks </li><li>Ability to stand/stoop/bend for 8 hours </li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Additional Vocational Training </li><li>Experience performing maintenance in a manufacturing environment </li></ul> <p>This position is not eligible for employer-based sponsorship.</p> <p>Disclosure as required by applicable law, the hourly pay rate for this position is $17.56/hour.
