<p>Title: Coordinator of Intramural Sports</p> <p>Agency: Student Affairs-50</p> <p>Location: Radford</p> <p>FLSA: Non-exempt/ Eligible for overtime</p> <p>Hiring Range: Starting at $21.15/hr</p> <p>Full Time or Part Time: Part Time</p> <p>Additional Detail</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Intramural Sports Coordinator (1500-hour, part-time) will serve as the primary manager of the intramural sports program and will assist with supervising the recreational facilities and club sports operations.</p> <p>This position's primary responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating student staff of 25-50 employees. </li><li>Provide direct supervision to student employees and ensure employee compliance with department expectations. </li><li>Conduct ongoing student-employee training sessions and student-employee evaluations. </li><li>Oversee the planning, scheduling and administration of intramural games, tournaments and special events. </li><li>Maintain inventory of intramural equipment. </li><li>·Facilitate sport-specific captain and employee meetings. </li><li>Compile and maintain intramural records, end-of-year reports, participation records, operations manuals, rules, etc. </li><li>Manage schedules and supervision of outdoor recreational sports facilities </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated ability to lead students </li><li>Demonstrated experience in training and scheduling officials </li><li>Knowledgeable about recreational programs and services </li><li>Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills </li><li>Demonstrated ability using Microsoft Office and other computer applications </li></ul> <p>Additional Considerations:</p> <ul> <li>Affiliation with regional or national sports associations (i.e. NFHS, NCAA, NAIA, ASA, NASO, etc.) </li><li>Experience in a higher education environment </li><li>Facility management experience </li></ul>
