Ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment, and management of sales personnel. Identifies objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short-term and long-term sales and earnings.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Establishes challenging but realistic goals for the sales team. </li><li>Manages an assigned geographic sales area to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives. </li><li>Establishes and manages effective programs to compensate, coach, appraise, and train sales personnel. </li><li>Manages and assists in the development of new business. </li><li>Communicates effectively with colleagues and management. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Customer Service experience </li><li>Minimum 2-4 years of retail/merchandising experience </li><li>Experience working with a diverse group </li><li>High school graduate or General Educational Development (GED) certificate. </li><li>Basic to intermediate abilities with Microsoft Office Applications. </li><li>High comfort level in learning internal computer systems. </li><li>Must own a reliable vehicle with current insurance. </li><li>Performs sales activities on major accounts and assists sales representatives with independent accounts. </li><li>Manages personnel and develops sales and sales support staff. </li><li>Reviews progress of sales roles throughout the company. </li><li>Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company's products. </li><li>Provides annual results assessments of sales staff's productivity. </li><li>Coordinates proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales results. </li><li>Adheres to all sales policies, practices, and procedures. </li><li>Assists sales personnel in establishing personal contact and rapport with key decision-makers. </li><li>Works to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines. </li><li>Interprets short- and long-term effects on sales strategies in operating profit. </li><li>Educates sales team by establishing programs/seminars in the areas of new account sales and growth, sales of emerging products and multi-product sales, profitability, improved presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of sales support, management of expenses and business/financial issues on contracts. </li><li>Reviews expenses and recommends economies. </li><li>Holds regular meetings with sales staff. </li></ul> <p>#CMALL</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Customer Service experience</p> <p>Minimum 2-4 years of retail/merchandising experience</p> <p>Experience working with a diverse group</p> <p>High school graduate or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.</p> <p>Basic to intermediate abilities with Microsoft Office Applications.</p> <p>High comfort level in learning internal computer systems.</p> <p>Must own a reliable vehicle with current insurance.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ol> <li> <p>Knowledge of the Core-Mark sales process.</p> </li><li> <p>Skill in operating various office equipment, such as a computer (laptop), hand-held order-entry device, e-Pad, online order entry program, phone system, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Skills in problem solving and analyzing to interpret sales performance and market trend information.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate with department managers, co-workers, and business contacts, in a courteous and professional manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to be task and team-oriented and focused on goal achievement.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work with minimal supervision.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to check and correct own work.</p> </li></ol> <p>High School Diploma or equivalent.</p> <p>University degree in marketing or business studies is preferred; or a minimum of three years of related experience or training in the retail industry; or equivalent combination of formal education and experience.</p> <p>Must have experience developing marketing and sales strategies.</p> <p>Valid Driver's License.</p>
