<p>Job Purpose</p> <p>STAG Industrial, Inc. (NYSE: STAG) is a real estate investment trust focused on the acquisition and operation of industrial properties in 41 states. The company has approximately 600 industrial properties in its portfolio, the property accountant would be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the property level net operating income as well the related property level assets and liabilities for a portfolio of industrial properties.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Record the property level expenses and revenues monthly to ensure the property level NOI is correct. </li><li>Prepare and account for all fixed asset additions in conjunction with the company's GAAP, Non-GAAP, revenue recognition principles regarding placing assets into service and accelerating depreciation and amortization for lease intangibles policies. </li><li>Prepare all fixed asset inputs and reconciliations to the company's fixed asset sub-ledger. </li><li>Prepare disposition entries and gain calculation on sold assets and update the Gains and Losses memo, ASU 2017-05. </li><li>Prepare quarterly operating revenue and expense variance analysis on both a portfolio and same store basis. </li><li>Prepare property acquisition entries. </li><li>Review and approve property invoices for payment. </li><li>Prepare tenant monthly CAM true-up and annual reconciliations. </li><li>Prepare quarterly asset impairment analysis. </li><li>Prepare/review the monthly and quarterly filing of the company's sales tax filing and municipal property income related tax filings. </li><li>Assist in the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures. </li><li>Foster a collaborative, inclusive, proactive, and fun culture that emphasizes empowerment and accountability. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. </li><li>Zero to three years of accounting experience with previous accounting experience in commercial real estate setting would be preferred. </li><li>Candidate should have a learning mentality, showing a high level of initiative, while demonstrating accountability and a shared sense of commitment to the organization. </li><li>Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel required. Advanced MS Excel skills, MRI and Sage Fixed Assets preferred, but not required. </li><li>Organizational skills with ability to set priorities, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. </li><li>Self-starter capable of finding solutions with minimal supervision. </li><li>Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines. </li><li>Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. </li><li>Adaptable to changing demands. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Position does not require special working conditions.
