Oversees medical facility management.</p> <p>(2) Provides medical management and advisory services that contribute substantially to the plans, policies, decisions, and objectives of senior management.</p> <p>(3) Develops plans, policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for the overall operation of the Medical Group.</p> <p>(4) Directs the Medical Group accreditation program and management improvement studies.</p> <p>(5) Determines eligibility, authorizes and coordinates civilian and military medical care for Active Guard Reserve (AGR) personnel and other eligible beneficiaries in accordance with directives and local policies.</p> <p>Performs other duties as assigned</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Help</p> <p>Conditions of employment</p> <p>MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. If you are not sure you are eligible for military membership, please contact a National Guard recruiter prior to applying for this position.</p> <p>Military Grades: E-3 through E-7</p> <ul> <li>National Guard Membership is required. </li><li>Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. </li><li>Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. </li><li>Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. </li><li>May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Work that required a knowledge of the basic principles and practices related to the management of a health care delivery system. Such experience may have been gained as an administrative officer, management analyst, or administrative or clinical program manager or supervisor in a health care delivery system.</p> <p>SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the GS-0671-09 level, you must have 1 year equivalent to at least GS-7 level. Candidate is progressively responsible analytical or administrative, or clinical management or supervisory experience in the health care field. This work may have been performed in an operating health care facility or a higher organizational echelon with advisory or directional authority over such facilities.
