<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Position Purpose:</p> <ul> <li>Psychometrist performs one or more of a variety of technical tasks in support of professional neuropsychology services. Performance of these tasks requires a practical understanding of some of the general principles, theories, methods and techniques of psychology and neuropsychology in order to carry out duties, which are performed under the supervision of the Neuropsychologist. </li><li>Specialty: Neurology </li><li>Location: Mount Carmel St.Anns' 500 S Cleveland Ave, Westerville, OH 43081 </li><li>Hours of office: Monday - Thursday 8:00a - 4:30p and Friday 7:30a - 4:00p </li></ul> <p>What You Will Do:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for standardized administration and scoring of neuropsychological and/or psychological tests as ordered and assigned by Neuropsychologist. </li><li>Observes, manages and documents patient's behavior and condition throughout the testing process. </li><li>Explains testing procedures and objectives to patients and works with patients to facilitate compliance with protocol and procedures and to ensure appropriate test completion. </li><li>Uses behavioral management and other clinical skills to manage patients with brain dysfunction and/or psychiatric symptoms </li><li>Enters testing/patient conditions and test results into data management files and/or patient records, as requested by supervising psychologists. </li><li>All other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Education: Bachelor's degree with a major in an appropriate social or biological science; preference for psychology background; preference is given to candidates with significant coursework and / or supplemental professional experience in psychology (e.g., 12 semester hours in psychology) </li><li>Experience: One year of cognitive assessment/technical psychometry work (i.e., clinical services, training, and/or research) under the supervision of a psychologist, OR, one full year of graduate study in psychology (or related area of study) in an accredited college or university with exposure to cognitive assessment and/or coursework. </li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. </li><li>College level math/statistical skills required. </li><li>Must be able to deal effectively with a variety of people and must have demonstrated ability to exercise good judgement. Self-directed learning, organizational skills, efficient with typing and writing, teaching skills, clinical skills (assets); must be able to communicate quickly and articulately in writing and verbally at levels that are appropriate for patient interactions, staff interactions and with neuropsychologists. </li><li>English language proficiency required.
