<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Student Support Services/Success Center Aide</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>5/1/2026</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Pleasant Hill Intermediate School</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>The Pleasant Hill School District is currently seeking qualified applicants for a current position of:</p> <p>ParaProfessional, Level II</p> <p>Student Success Center</p> <p>2026-2027 School Year</p> <p>Deadline for applications: Until Filled</p> <p>Education/Ways toward Certification:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 60 college credit hours or </li><li>Passed the Paraprofessional Praxis </li><li>Hold a DESE Substitute Certificate </li></ul> <p>Base Salary is $17.54 per hour with room for increase based on education and experience</p> <p>Benefits Offered Include: Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance; District sponsored HSA Contribution; voluntary benefits; District sponsored Life Insurance; Paid Time Off; and enrollment in 403b/457 retirement plans</p> <p>Summary: The job of Student Success Center Paraprofessional is done for the purpose of providing support to the instructional program with specific responsibilities for assisting teachers and administration by providing prevention and intervention services to students with behavioral issues; coordinating the PBIS practices to use with at-risk youth; and proactively addressing students' needs.</p> <p>This job reports to Principal and/or Director of Student and Special Services.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Assists teachers in managing student's behavior for the purpose of maintaining a calm school environment and ensuring students' success. </li><li>Communicates with a variety of personnel (e.g. students, parents, teachers, administration, other staff, etc.) for the purpose of expressing concerns, resolving issues in planning for student success. </li><li>Escorts students to/from buses or cars for the purpose of ensuring the safety of all students and staff. </li><li>Facilitates prevention and intervention protocols for identified, at-risk students for the purpose of addressing behavioral issues, alleviating isolation, identifying support resources, enhancing coping skills. </li><li>Intervenes with chronic offenders for the purpose of de-escalating crisis situations, processing the situation, providing alternatives, and turning the student to regular studies as quickly as possible. </li><li>Maintains a variety of confidential and non-confidential manual and electronic lists and records (e.g. evaluations, reviews, interventions, etc.) for the purpose of compiling and documenting activities in compliance with adopted policies and requirements. </li><li>Maintains a visible, accessible presence on campus at assigned locations for the purpose of increasing student awareness of program and support services. </li><li>Provides individual and group support to students and parents for the purpose of preventing, addressing and resolving behavioral issues. </li><li>Responds to inquiries form a variety of internal and external sources for the purpose of providing information and/or direction as may be required. </li><li>Utilizes behavior management techniques (e.g. talking problem through, teaching students coping skills, physically supporting, etc.) for the purpose of assisting students to be able to fully participate in the educational setting. </li><li>Maintains confidentiality of students' information for the purpose of following adopted policies and guidelines. </li><li>Maintains manual and electronic files and/or records for the purpose of providing a written reference; and/or meeting mandated requirements. </li><li>Assist with the creation and implementation of student behavior plans. </li></ul> <p>Other Functions</p> <ul> <li>Participates in a variety of meetings, workshops and committees for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions and remaining knowledgeable with program guidelines. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. </li></ul> <p>Applicants should:</p> <p>Complete an application through Frontline (click apply at the top right of this job posting)</p> <p>Submit a letter of interest, resume, and three (3) current letters of recommendation with the application</p> <p>The Pleasant Hill R-III School District is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate</p> <p>on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, ancestry, disability or age.</p>
