<p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position serves as one of WisDOT's (2) Fleet Operation Specialists, working with (1) Fleet Program Officer - Lead Worker. This position responsible for managing WisDOT's motor pool operation which also serves the other agencies within the building. The individual hired into this role will perform administrative functions related to the management of the Hill Farms Motor Pool and general WisDOT fleet including but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Entering and ensuring accuracy of vehicle records </li><li>Managing recall notices </li><li>Performing data analysis </li><li>Managing payments to vendors </li><li>Registering and titling new vehicle purchases </li><li>Creating purchase orders, and processing invoices </li></ul> <p>Additional motor pool duties performed include:</p> <ul> <li>Dispatching reserved vehicles in the fleet management system </li><li>Inspecting, cleaning, and fueling vehicles daily </li><li>Scheduling and ensuring routine maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations are performed </li></ul> <p>The incumbent also reviews and recommends policy, directs and oversees the administration of the fuel card program and coordinates the fleet management maintenance referral program as well as other management information systems.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>This position is in schedule-range (07-04) with an hourly salary of $27.50 - $32.00 , plus excellent benefits. A twelve month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>Hired candidates must be able to meet the WisDOT fleet standards for driving a state vehicle.</p> <p>This position will occasionally travel to other locations for work purposes.</p> <p>This position will be tasked with climbing in and out of, under and on equipment, working in varied weather conditions and climate differences on a daily basis.</p> <p>WisDOT does not sponsor work visas. Any appointment made will be contingent on the applicant being able to prove valid status to work in the United States. WisDOT is not an E-Verify employer.</p> <p>Prior to any appointments for position(s) filled from this announcement, candidates may be subject to a comprehensive criminal background check which may include FBI fingerprinting.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualified applicants must detail having experience in all the following in order to be considered:</p> <ul> <li>Performing office and/or program management functions (such as asset/inventory management, auditing, planning/forecasting, scheduling appointments, updating logs, etc.) </li><li>Performing data research/analysis, data tracking, and/or data entry functions utilizing Microsoft Excel or comparable software </li><li>Providing customer service to business partners (e.g., in-person, electronic, and/or phone communication with customers, clients, etc.) and using conflict resolution skills when issues arise </li></ul> <p>In addition to having all the above, well qualified applicants will also detail having experience with one or more of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Processing and/or approving invoices for payment </li><li>Registration and titling of vehicles </li><li>Creating purchase orders </li><li>Program management of fleet services operations (such as managing a pool of vehicles including cleaning, inspecting, dispatching and/or returning of vehicles) </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>Apply online!
