<p>General Purpose</p> <p>This position is responsible for safely crossing school age children at an appointed post before and after school.</p> <p>Union Affiliation: Non-Union</p> <p>Pay Grade: $20.00 Hourly, $40 Daily</p> <p>Remote Tier 1: Zero (0) days remote/week</p> <p>Essential Job Functions</p> <ul> <li>Safely escort children across the street at appointed intersections in the City of Burlington using the crosswalks. </li><li>Guide pedestrian traffic at such places as streets, schools, railroad crossings, or construction sites. </li><li>Act as "Ambassador" for the City, carrying out work and interacting with co-workers and the public in a respectful, professional manner. </li></ul> <p>Non-Essential Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Performs other duties as required. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to actively support City diversity, equity, and cultural competency efforts within stated job responsibilities and work effectively across diverse cultures and constituencies. </li><li>Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion as evidenced by ongoing trainings and professional development. </li><li>Must be able to work 2 shifts a day.
