<p>The Facilities Technician is responsible for general maintenance and upkeep of the Westrock facilities and grounds. This individual will perform manual tasks essential to the upkeep and appearance of the facilities. Individuals will work independently with limited supervision. The Facilities Technician will report to the Site Engineer.</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Perform routine maintenance such as painting, plumbing, HVAC, minor electrical repairs. </li><li>Perform building inspections (fire sprinklers, extinguishers, HVAC) </li><li>Repair and make improvements to building and infrastructure </li><li>Support and maintain fire protection systems </li><li>Perform all duties and actions in a safe manner and continuously monitor areas to ensure that safety procedures are being followed. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by management. </li><li>Follow all required work safety procedures to include wearing all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED </li><li>Valid driver's license with clean driving record </li><li>Knowledge of general maintenance </li><li>Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skillset </li><li>Able to proficiently use man lifts and safety systems during operation of lifts. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Prefer 3 years or more of work experience in facilities maintenance. </li><li>Experience with fabrication, light welding </li><li>OSHA 30 Certified </li><li>Forklift Certified </li><li>Experience working alone and with people from diverse background </li><li>Self- motivated and well organized </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers. </li><li>Basic computer skills, specifically ability to use email for communication </li></ul> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer / Vets / Disabled</p>
