In addition to a competitive base wage, CSB offers a wide variety of employee benefits listed below.</p> <p>Summary: This position has primary responsibility for underwriting all mortgage and home equity loans originated at CSB.</p> <p>Essential Functions: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following; however, other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <ul> <li>Maintain a thorough understanding and a strong working knowledge of credit, underwriting, internal credit policy, secondary market investor guidelines, financial statement/tax return analysis, property evaluation, and residential loan processes. Attention to detail required. </li><li>Work with loan processors and lenders to obtain proper loan documentation so a proper decision can be made. </li><li>Working knowledge of residential lending regulations; both existing and learning future changes. </li><li>Verifies the loan file is properly documented in terms of valid sources of income, income calculations, DTI calculations, credit quality, asset sources, appraisal report, loan to value ratios, preliminary title, occupancy, and fraud detail reports. </li><li>Verifies the loan meets all secondary market requirements (for Freddie loans). </li><li>Performs appraisal reviews and/or evaluations. </li><li>Good working knowledge of the loan origination software system. </li><li>Approves the loan up to approved lending authority or obtains approval from an officer with the property authority level. </li><li>Assists with secondary market responsibilities including but not limited to publishing interest rates. </li><li>Cross train with others in the department to cover vacations/personal time off.
