<p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the following duties. Load trucks for outgoing shipments. To provide business office clerical assistance by performing the following duties.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Unload incoming materials and verify against packing lists. </li><li>Record received materials in the MRP system. </li><li>Mark materials with identifying information and open containers. </li><li>Transport materials to production or storage areas. </li><li>Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins by size, type, style, color, or product code. </li><li>Deliver receiving paperwork to Accounts Payable. </li><li>Maintain inventory records and prepare shipping paperwork. </li><li>Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials and distribute to production. </li><li>Assemble customer orders and prepare for shipping. </li><li>Prepare parcels for mailing and load products for shipping. </li><li>Expedite delivery of goods and occasionally inspect purchased materials. </li><li>Promote a safe workplace. </li><li>Review shipments and pull prints and drawings. </li><li>Accurately read tape measures. </li><li>Perform additional duties as needed. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Six months of experience in shipping/warehouse. </li><li>Proficient in computer skills, including email and MS Office. </li><li>Ability to read and write simple correspondence. </li><li>Basic math skills. </li><li>Common sense reasoning and problem-solving. </li><li>Positive attitude and self-directed work ethic. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <ul> <li>Frequent standing and walking. </li><li>Use of hands for handling objects and controls. </li><li>Occasional sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. </li><li>Ability to talk and hear for effective communication. </li><li>Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds. </li><li>Ability to adjust focus. </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</p> <ul> <li>Frequent outdoor work. </li><li>Occasional exposure to moving parts, high places, fumes, and loud noise. </li></ul>
