<p>Position Summary:</p> <p>SPARK is an online autism research study and a growing community of autistic individuals, their families, and researchers on a mission to advance the understanding of autism. It's sister study, Simons Searchlight, studies genes that cause rare neurodevelopmental disorders. The Senior Program Coordinator will be primarily responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative activities and functions of these research studies.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Manage day-to-day program activities and daily operations of one or more programs or centers. Develop new programs, processes or systems for manager review to address new or revised program goals and objectives as assigned. Review recommendations with manager and develop new procedures for final review. </li><li>May contribute to the financial management including making budget recommendations, monitoring monthly expenses and reconciling Program/Center and other accounts. Prepare proposals for funding and/or funding continuation from outside sponsors. </li><li>Provide technical advice and problem-solving assistance related to program goals and objectives; escalate requests to other resources as needed. </li><li>Coordinate evaluation of program effectiveness. Generate periodic reports and records on program activities, progress, status or other special reports for management or outside agencies. Review and analyze reports, assessing trends or changes. Develop recommendations for discussion. </li><li>Participate in discussions pertaining to the program; update manager or director appropriately. Call manager's attention to trends or changes and may recommend programmatic changes. Develop agreed-to recommendations. </li><li>Coordinate and lead recruitment efforts that may include reviews of applications, interviews and orientation. </li><li>Compose written communication and promotional literature for program and department. May plan workshops, meetings or conferences; coordinate logistics, scheduling and participant communications. </li><li>Interact and liaise with staff, faculty, and outside/community agencies to facilitate meeting the program objectives. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Associates or equivalent experience required. </li><li>Bachelor's degree preferred. </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>5 years of related experience. </li><li>Communication skills in order to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions, or well developed writing skills. </li><li>Proven ability to lead support staff and influence internal leaders and external contacts. </li></ul> <p>Boston Children's Hospital offers competitive compensation and unmatched benefits including flexible schedules, affordable health, vision and dental insurance, childcare and student loan subsidies, generous levels of time off, 403(b) Retirement Savings plan, Pension, Tuition and certain License and Certification Reimbursement, cell phone plan discounts and discounted rates on T-passes.
