ESRT seeks an equally passionate colleague to join the team, understand the vision and help achieve that vision.</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>Guides guests the ticketing process including purchases, printing and upgrades.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Communicating with guests in a clear, friendly and positive manner </li><li>Demonstrating enthusiasm for the Observatory attraction and maintaining high levels of enthusiasm during entire shift </li><li>Understanding the various ticket options (and associated prices) offered by the Observatory </li><li>Assists all guests in need when purchasing tickets at the kiosks </li><li>Ensures the Kiosks are properly stocked and fully functional </li><li>Moves the kiosk line down to fill all empty spaces and ensure all kiosks are being utilized </li><li>Notifies supervision if the security line backs up into the kiosk lines </li><li>Reports any tickets left behind by guests at the kiosks and transports them to the ticket gate if needed </li><li>Ensures Kiosk area stays clear of debris </li><li>Upsell any additional products as directed by management and meet minimum selling goals/requirements </li><li>Understanding what currency and other forms of payments are accepted by the Observatory and, when applicable, obtaining appropriate identification and signatures (i.e., travelers checks) </li><li>Keeping the work station and cash drawer organized; utilizing slots made available to sort cash and coins by denomination </li><li>Adequately stocking the work station stocked with necessary items, including without limitation; ticket stock, receipt paper, ballpoint pens, a counterfeit pen, stapler and paperwork folder, or other items as provided </li><li>Identifying counterfeit currency </li><li>Verifying the cash drawer and prepping worksheets at the beginning of each shift. </li><li>Following all cash handling, counting and closing procedures as set forth in the Cashier addendum to the Employee Handbook </li><li>Accurately filling out required paperwork </li><li>Proficient use of the Galaxy ticking system </li><li>Adhering to all uniform and grooming standards ( i.e. no visible tattoos, hair appropriate length, clean shaven, good hygiene) </li><li>Following ESB policies and management directives </li></ul> <p>OTHER FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Notify Supervision of any improper conditions in the area. </li><li>Notify Supervision of any improper hardware/software in Ticket Office area while inspecting cashier booth </li><li>At management's request, preparing written reports of unusual activities </li><li>Upon request, pleasantly assisting guests with non-ESB related inquiries </li><li>Clerical/administrative functions as assigned </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
