You'll monitor delinquent accounts, both secured and unsecured, identifying early warning signs of potential loss and devising preventive strategies accordingly. Your daily tasks will include meeting a minimum number of outbound collection calls, where you'll meticulously document interactions in relevant systems.</p> <p>Analyzing members' financial statuses will allow you to develop tailored repayment or settlement plans that cater to individual circumstances. You will facilitate the completion of necessary forms and documentation for Loan Committee consideration regarding hardship assistance. In addition, you will coordinate the repossession of vehicles and manage deficiency balance recoveries for secured loans while preparing mortgage loans for foreclosure when needed. This position requires a proactive problem-solver with a strong focus on integrity and customer-centricity.</p> <p>Are you the Loss Prevention & Recovery Specialist we're looking for?</p> <p>To excel as a Loss Prevention & Recovery Specialist at Christian Community Credit Union, candidates must possess a robust set of skills and experience. A minimum of three years in collections, loss mitigation, or loan recovery within a financial institution is essential, along with a solid understanding of state and federal regulations governing collections. Proficiency in legal actions, skip tracing, repossession procedures, and bankruptcy proceedings will be invaluable as you navigate complex situations. Strong negotiation and communication skills are necessary to influence repayment outcomes effectively and handle sensitive member interactions with professionalism and empathy.</p> <p>Familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet software, particularly Word and Excel, is required for daily tasks, including documentation and analysis. You should possess analytical and interpretive skills, demonstrate the ability to prioritize a diverse workload under pressure, and have a keen attention to detail.
