<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Milford Public School system is looking for a Director of Pupil Personnel Services/Special Education to provide leadership and supervision for all pupil personnel services and special education programs and staff.</p> <p>The Director of PPS/Special Education will ensure the delivery of quality programs and services for students with disabilities, direct the efforts of Pupil Personnel Services and Special Education throughout the district.</p> <p>The Director of PPS/Special Education will set policies to provide consistency and compliance with all programs, services, resource distribution, processes and the assignment of special education and related services staff.</p> <p>This position is a member of the Superintendent's Cabinet, oversees four supervisors and a group of secretarial staff. Additionally, this position oversees district student disciplinary matters including expulsions.</p> <p>Requirements: Valid Connecticut Administrator Certificate (092), Valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher certificate (any endorsement), Sixth Year degree, extensive successful special education teaching experience, as well as excellent communication skills.
