Calaveras Unified School District provides quality education programs for students in TK/Kindergarten thru Grade 12, including Career Technical Education (CTE), preschool and after school services. Two hundred teachers, principals and other administrators have the responsibility of providing sound educational programs and services to approximately 3,000 students with nearly 175 classified personnel providing support services. Calaveras Unified comprises five elementary sites in the communities of West Point, Mokelumne Hill, San Andreas, Valley Springs and Jenny Lind. Toyon Middle school, located between Valley Springs and San Andreas, services students in 6th - 8th grade. Calaveras High School, in San Andreas serves students in grades 9 through12 and includes an independent study program. Knowledge of: <em>Principles of administration and supervision. </em>Staff development organization and techniques. <em>Educational curriculum and instructional services and methods. </em>Laws and regulations relating to educational and instructional programs. <em> Best practices for implementing effective school practices and policies. 2. Ability to: </em>Maintain cooperative relationships with administration, staff, parents and community at large. <em>Supervise personnel, manage budgets, and provide requisite reports/accounting. </em>Relate effectively with a wide variety of professional staff members and community at large. *Deliver curriculum and program, and establish positive relationships and communication. 3. Five (5) years of successful teaching experience and administrative experience is desirable. M.A. desirable. 4. Valid California Standard Elementary or Secondary Teaching Credential and an Administrative Services Credential 5.
