You can also participate in our 401(k) plan with company match and explore post-tax Roth IRA options to secure your financial future. </li><li>Established Legacy: Join a team of over 1000 employees contributing to our success since 1960, with a proven track record of excellence in mechanical contracting. </li></ul> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>The Sheet Metal Superintendent will supervise and coordinate the material for and activities of Foremen, Journeymen and Apprentices engaged in the installation of sheet metal systems. </li><li>Interpret specifications, blueprints, submittals, and job orders as needed for project. </li><li>Assemble procurement orders for materials, equipment and tools required at each project commencement. </li><li>Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel. </li><li>Evaluate Foreman and workers abilities and expertise to ensure the most productive job placement. </li><li>Study schedules and estimate man-hour requirements for completion of job. </li><li>Analyze and resolve work problems and maintain time records. </li><li>When necessary, make cost estimates for contracts. </li><li>Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations. </li><li>Conduct timely performance appraisals for all assigned workers. </li><li>Follow HR procedures for hiring, terminations and disciplinary actions. </li><li>Understand, or be willing to learn and apply, Lean principles and processes. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of SMACNA, Florida Building and AHCA codes. </li><li>Ability to troubleshoot Test and Balance issues. </li><li>Adept working with coordinated shop drawings from BIM as well as remodel projects with only contract drawings. </li><li>Knowledge of labor tracking. </li><li>Completion of the apprenticeship program and appropriate journeyman experience preferred. OSHA30, CPR/1st Aid, Qualified Rigging and Signaling, Forklift, Fall Protection, Scissor Lift. </li><li>This position requires the ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. The employee must be able to perform tasks involving physical labor, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials, tools, or equipment.
