<p>Position Title Student Counseling Services/Student Health Services Administrative Assistant Department Student Counseling Services -Group Pay Type Non Exempt Appointment Type (A) Continuing Full-Time Hours Per Week 37.5 Number of weeks 40 weeks per year other - # of weeks 40 Benefits Eligible Full Benefits Geographical Regional Qualifies for Relocation Reimbursement No Work Schedule</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>General Scope of Duties</p> <p>The Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative and clerical support to the Health Center, ensuring efficient and effective operations. This role is crucial in maintaining a smooth flow of information, managing patient records, and providing excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff.</p> <p>General Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Priority Job Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Greet and check in patients/clients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient reception process. </li><li>Answer phones, screen calls, and direct patients/clients to appropriate staff or services. </li><li>Handle appointment scheduling for SHS through PyraMED and for SCS through Titanium (email, phone and in-person). </li><li>Send appointment reminders and ensure paperwork is completed in advance of the first appointment. </li><li>Communicate regularly with the Office Manager regarding work flow issues. </li></ul> <p>General Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Identify and coordinate improvements in office efficiency, including forms, protocol, procedures. </li><li>Manage inquiries and provide information about Health Center services and procedures. </li><li>Maintain accurate and confidential patient records. </li><li>Other duties as assigned or as necessary. </li></ul> <p>Education and Skills</p> <ul> <li>Graduation from high school and 1 - 3 years secretarial experience. </li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. </li><li>Knowledge of office management and equipment required. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite. </li><li>Experience with electronic health records (HER) systems preferred. </li><li>High integrity needed to handle confidential information. </li><li>Ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy. </li><li>Well-organized, able to work under pressure and as a member of a team. </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team. </li><li>Basic knowledge of health insurance. </li><li>Travel as required. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands Driving Required No Salary Range $20.00-$21.38 Note</p> <p>Connecticut College is committed to fair and competitive compensation.
