<p>Job Title: QA TechnicianJob Description</p> <p>Support the QA and other Production Departments by implementing and monitoring procedures and processes to ensure compliance with food safety programs and regulatory and customer requirements.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with food safety programs and verify standards are met or exceeded. </li><li>Monitor HACCP CCPs, complete production paperwork, perform daily thermometer and scale calibrations, and ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and organized. </li><li>Perform regular product testing, including daily reviews, final product temperature checks, net weights, new item shelf-life assessments, visual inspections, and listeria monitoring swabs. </li><li>Participate in employee training on GMP, HACCP, Allergen Control, Food Safety, and SQF. </li><li>Write and follow up on corrective actions for deviations, discrepancies, sanitation failures, and customer or regulatory requirements. </li><li>Verify incoming ingredient documentation in accordance with SQF requirements, track non-conforming ingredients, and organize QA records for customers and retained samples. </li><li>Support the Sanitation Department by performing daily pre-operational sanitation inspections using APC, ATP, and environmental swabs, and conducting Operational Sanitation inspections twice a day. </li><li>Identify quality and food safety risks, assist with solutions, and promote proper handling and storage practices. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Quality assurance expertise </li><li>Experience with SQF, GMP, and food safety systems </li><li>Understanding of laboratory procedures and equipment operation </li><li>Advanced knowledge in HACCP plans </li><li>Ability to train employees and provide feedback </li><li>Proficiency in using computer programs and entering accurate data </li><li>Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment around moving equipment </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma with 3+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing or BS in Life Science or Food Science with 1+ year of relevant experience in food manufacturing </li><li>Experience with a food manufacturer and food safety knowledge </li><li>Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (34-38 degrees) </li><li>Capability to lift 25 to 50 pounds </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment around moving equipment, primarily in a refrigerated setting with temperatures ranging from 34-38 degrees.
