<p>The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA) of the head, neck spine, chest, and body, as well as performance of digital radiology exams. The MRI exams are performed with and without use of contrast materials. The purpose of these exams is to achieve diagnostic studies so that proper diagnosis and treatment may be effectuated.</p> <p>Major duties include but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Schedules exams in a manner to optimize all the radiographic equipment including the MRI scanner times while maintaining a flexibility to allow for emergency cases. </li><li>Assess patients for claustrophobia and utilize techniques to help minimize and complete exams safely. </li><li>Enforces safety in zoning and secures area to prevent safety events. </li><li>Confers with radiologists and MRSO to determine requirements of non-standard exams. </li><li>Determines technical factors, positioning, number, and thickness of scans, etc., to produce and satisfy requirements of MRI scanning. </li><li>Prepares contrast materials that are used in MRI and general exams and labels. </li><li>Uses the PACs system for retrieval of images to be printed to a laser camera, as well as understands the PACS system and the archive. </li><li>Responsible for stocking and inventory of all MRI and general imaging supplies and related material. </li><li>Responsible for assuming various rotating schedules as determined by the Chief, Radiology Service. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule: Days, 7:30am to 5:00pm PST</p> <p>Telework: Not Available</p> <p>Virtual: This is not a virtual position.</p> <p>Functional Statement #: 40203A</p> <p>Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not Authorized</p> <p>Permanent Change of Station (PCS): Not Authorized</p>
