We are a high-growth company in active</p> <p>acquisition mode, and our Finance team sits at the center of our operational and strategic decision-</p> <p>making.</p> <p>The Senior Staff Accountant is a critical member of BRTG's accounting function, reporting directly to</p> <p>the Controller and working in close partnership with the CFO. This role supports the finance</p> <p>department by ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining financial records and</p> <p>assisting with various accounting tasks and serves as the day-to-day engine behind our financial</p> <p>reporting and lender compliance obligations. The right candidate thrives in a fast-paced, PE-backed</p> <p>environment, has a sharp eye for variance analysis, and brings a continuous improvement mindset to</p> <p>everything they touch.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform day-to-day accounting functions, including AP, AR, general ledger and bank </li></ul> <p>reconciliation</p> <ul> <li>Lead and execute monthly close activities in coordination with the Controller, ensuring timely </li></ul> <p>and accurate financial statement preparation</p> <ul> <li>Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaid amortization, fixed asset activity, </li></ul> <p>and inter-company allocations</p> <ul> <li>Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly and resolve open items on a timely basis </li><li>Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts to ensure </li></ul> <p>accuracy and completeness</p> <ul> <li>Monitor daily cash positions across operating entities and flag liquidity risks proactively </li><li>Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements covering revenue, </li></ul> <p>gross profit, marketing performance, financing mix, and Adjusted EBITDA</p> <ul> <li>Prepare regional and market-level P&L analyses across BRTG's operating markets to support </li></ul> <p>regional manager reviews</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate with the Controller and external advisors on audit and lender diligence requests </li><li>Support the annual budgeting process, including collection and consolidation of inputs, model </li></ul> <p>build, and scenario analysis</p> <ul> <li>Support M&A integration activities as BRTG continues to expand its acquisition pipeline </li><li>Assist with IT-related capitalization and expense classification decisions and EBITDA add-back </li></ul> <p>documentation</p> <ul> <li>Contribute to process documentation and internal controls development as the company scales </li><li>Assist with ad hoc financial modeling and analysis and other duties as assigned by Controller or </li></ul> <p>CFO</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field </li><li>3-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity or multi-location </li></ul> <p>environment</p> <ul> <li>Strong technical accounting skills with hands-on month-end close ownership experience </li><li>Proficiency in cash flow forecasting and variance analysis </li><li>Advanced Excel skills; comfortable working with large data sets and building financial models </li></ul> <p>from scratch</p> <ul> <li>Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present financial information clearly to </li></ul> <p>non-finance stakeholders</p> <ul> <li>Self-motivated and proactive, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>CPA (licensed or candidate) strongly preferred </li><li>Experience in a PE-backed company, franchise business model, or field services / trades </li></ul> <p>industry</p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with lender reporting, debt covenant compliance, or working with PE sponsors </li><li>Experience with ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and reporting tools </li><li>Exposure to M&A integration, acquisition accounting, or multi-entity consolidations </li></ul> <p>What We Offer</p> <ul> <li>Competitive base salary commensurate with experience </li><li>Performance-based bonus program </li><li>Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits </li><li>401(k) with company match </li><li>Opportunity for career advancement as BRTG continues its rapid growth trajectory </li><li>Direct exposure to PE-sponsor dynamics, M&A activity, and strategic finance in a high-growth </li></ul> <p>platform</p> <ul> <li>Collaborative, high-performance team culture with a focus on continuous improvement </li></ul> <p>About Black Raven Trades Group</p> <p>Black Raven Trades Group is a PE-backed electrical services platform operating under the Mister</p> <p>Sparky franchise network across multiple states.
