The Career and Technical Education Biomedical Sciences Instructor will further the</p> <p>implementation of 27J Schools Career and Technical Education programs at the high school level. The instructor will provide</p> <p>instruction in the Project Lead The Way Biomedical Sciences curriculum. This is a full-time, or 1.0 FTE position.</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>A valid Colorado Department of Education Teaching License with a CTE endorsement in Health Science or Health Science Foundational. </li><li>The ability to handle many complex tasks simultaneously. </li><li>The ability and interest to be part of a high-functioning team. (Having respected and trusted colleagues, preferably as teammates, makes the demands of teaching sustainable.) </li><li>The ability and interest to learn continuously and to adapt to changing circumstances (student characteristics, curriculum, and so on). </li><li>A belief in empowering all children as owners of their learning. </li></ul> <p>Other information:</p> <p>CTE Teachers must ensure that their programs meet and are operated in accordance with State Board-approved standards</p> <p>for quality Career And Technical Education as determined in the program approval process. CTE teachers will provide</p> <p>information necessary to complete and maintain an approved program.</p> <p>This includes:</p> <ul> <li>Obtaining and updating an appropriate CTE Teaching License. </li><li>Annually conducting two Technical Advisory Committee meetings. </li><li>Sponsoring a Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO). </li><li>Submitting an annual CTE Program Quality Action Plan, and follow up student surveys. </li><li>Participating in recruitment and student enrollment activities. </li><li>Supporting work based learning, student completion of industry certificate and seamless transition to post </li></ul> <p>secondary education.</p> <p>CTE Program Lead Teachers are eligible to receive a CTE stipend for the fulfillment of the above work.
