May be responsible for the following activities: assessing the suitability of potential participants for clinical trials, scheduling, data input, oversight of regulatory submissions, and collaboration within departments as well as with outside institutions.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinates the implementation, both internally and externally, of sponsored clinical research studies. </li><li>Initiates and maintains contact with study participants. Responsible for screening applicants, ensuring they meet appropriate criteria, and assessing the suitability of their participation. </li><li>Maintains the study database. Responsible for data input and upkeep. </li><li>Review of billing and financial status of various research protocols. </li><li>In conjunction with Research Manager/Principal Investigator, develops and implements new research protocols including data collection systems and institutional review board approval. </li><li>All other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>BS OR BA</p> <p>SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work independently. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills are required for working with the study participants. </li><li>Good oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Analytical skills and the ability to resolve technical or research problems and issues and to interpret the acceptability of data results. </li><li>Knowledge of clinical research protocols. </li><li>High degree of computer literacy. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize a variety of tasks. </li><li>Careful attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to demonstrate professionalism and respect for subjects rights and individual needs. </li><li>Knowledge of data management programs. </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Potential to assist in training and orienting new staff.</p> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <p>Lifting/ carrying of equipment. Walking/ standing for long periods of time.
