Applicants must hold or be eligible for a valid State of Connecticut teaching certificate with appropriate Special Education endorsement.</p> <p>Positions are available for 2026/2027 as follows:</p> <ul> <li>Torrington High School (Grades 9-12) - Life Skills Program </li><li>Torrington Intermediate School (Grades 4-6) - Thrive Program </li></ul> <p>The Special Education Teacher is responsible for providing individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities in alignment with their IEPs. They collaborate with general education teachers, families, and service providers to ensure access to the curriculum and promote academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.
