Managing sample logistics and prioritizing testing. </li><li>Ensure equipment is managed efficiently so the lab is operating at optimal capacity. </li><li>Identify and resolve first line technical issues related to automation systems. </li><li>Collaborate and troubleshoot equipment issues with the automation team. </li><li>Ensure the team performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment. </li><li>Drive process improvements and ensure safety and quality compliance. </li><li>Ensures staff is trained on procedures and provide guidance to staff and contractors on data verification and integrity. </li><li>Manage a team of workcell leads, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and career development. </li><li>Ability to cultivate team efficiency and cohesiveness in a complex, matrix environment. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications / Requirements:</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or other related scientific field is required </li><li>Master's degree or PhD preferred </li></ul> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant industrial experience in analytical development </li><li>Prior managerial experience </li><li>Experience working in GMP environment </li><li>Experience with resource planning and laboratory management </li><li>Strong chemistry, biology and/or biochemistry or related background </li><li>Strong leadership skills </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt effectively to constantly evolving organization issues, structures, and dynamics </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders </li><li>Position will require up to 10% of travel, defined by business needs </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of laboratory automation systems, robotic platforms, liquid handling systems, and other relevant automation technologies </li></ul> <p>Johnson & Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
