<p>School Nurse JobID: 1853</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Educational Support Services/School Nurse</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>7/7/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>District</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>ASAP</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>Open until filled</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Essential Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. </li><li>Must have a valid New Jersey Registered Nursing License with a Certificate for School Nursing. </li><li>Ability to work effectively with staff, parents, community members, and students to maintain and strengthen sound human relations for the improvement of the school program. </li><li>Must be able to work harmoniously in a multicultural diverse community. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>To be performed in a manner consistent with Professional Standards, the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act, District Policies and Regulations.</p> <ul> <li>Uses the nursing process to assess the health needs of students and staff. </li><li>Reviews immunization and physical examination records of all new/transfer students to determine eligibility for entering the Teaneck Public Schools District. </li><li>Maintains accurate health records (A45) for all students ensuring compliance with immunizations for each grade level. </li><li>Administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physician. </li><li>Provides care for student and staff illness and accidents. </li><li>Develops individual health care plans and modifications for students with special health care needs. </li><li>Serves as liaison between the home, medical community, and the school regarding student health concerns. </li><li>Performs NJ State mandated school screenings. </li><li>Attend staff and professional meetings. </li><li>Monitors the school environment and recommends changes to promote health and safety. </li><li>Monitor attendance records to ensure students are attending school regularly. </li><li>Serves as a member of the building Child Study Team and/or 504 committee, as needed. </li><li>Performs, as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee, additional or alternate duties which are within the scope of employment and certification. </li></ul> <p>Salary: Commensurate with the TTEA Salary guide pursuant to experience and education.
