The following opportunity is for our U.S. team.</p> <p>The opportunity</p> <p>We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Forensic Accountant to join our Claims team based in our Canton, MA, Denver, CO Plymouth, MN or New York City office on a hybrid basis. The position is responsible for identifying and requesting essential financial records and gathering the information necessary for the initial setting of the maximum loss exposure. Evaluate and provide feedback on the claim as presented by the insured. Analyze data forensics to uncover financial fraud. Some of the Senior Forensic Accountant responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Make risk-based decisions in compliance with company, legal and regulatory requirements, and recommend actions in response to investigations. </li><li>Identify the liability causing event and damages that may have resulted. </li><li>Understands and applies the policy provisions to the accounting portions of the adjustment process. </li><li>Review and provide feedback on the insured's claim file, including reconciling the claimed and calculated loss amounts. </li><li>Calculate and review business income losses based upon past and forecast future financial statements. </li><li>Analyzes financial statements and identifies irregularities. </li><li>Use data forensics and digital analysis techniques to uncover financial fraud or irregularities. </li><li>Track, vet, evaluate, and organize the costs and expenses associated. </li><li>Provides an independent assessment of the cost/benefit of extra expense. </li><li>Assist in drafting requests for information to the insured to calculate and verify claimed losses. </li><li>Act as a trusted accountant liaison with the insured's financial representatives. </li><li>Help prepare deposition questions and identify key witnesses. </li><li>Prepare reports for settlement negotiations and court proceedings. </li><li>Work with team members to incorporate industry insights, economic shifts and changes in the marketplace into lost revenue estimate. </li><li>Responds to internal cross functional teams including legal and claims departments along with Insureds as established by department guidelines. </li><li>Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. </li></ul> <p>The expertise you bring</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required. </li><li>Certified Forensic Accountant (CRFAC), CPA credential. </li><li>5-7 years of related experience. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools </li></ul> <p>Our salary ranges are determined by many factors including location, role, experience and skillset of the candidate. The following ranges displayed reflect the target base salary for new hires but your recruiter will share more specific compensation information with you during the hiring process. The typical base salary range for this position is: $85,000 - $121,000, based on the factors aforementioned. For candidates located in San Francisco, CA; Hoboken, NJ; and the New York City metro area, the base salary range is $108,000 -$126,000.
