<p>The Position</p> <p>This position reports to the Focus Factor Manager and will assist in the planning, organizing, and monitoring of assigned departments</p> <p>Manufacturing Supervisor - K24, 9405, 400, and AFV</p> <p>Pensacola, FL</p> <p>Overhead Door Corporation</p> <p>About the Role</p> <p>The Manufacturing Supervisor plays a critical role in leading daily production operations within a high-speed manufacturing environment while ensuring a strong commitment to safety, quality, and meeting production targets. This leader is responsible for driving a safety-first culture, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring that all employees adhere to Standard Work and operational best practices. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, engaged leader who models and reinforces safety, quality, and production behaviors while fostering collaboration and accountability among hourly employees.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Safety & Compliance:</p> <ul> <li>Lead weekly toolbox safety training to reinforce best practices and ensure compliance with all safety protocols. </li><li>Conduct and document safety incident and accident reports, ensuring timely investigations and corrective actions. </li><li>Perform Gemba walks to proactively identify and mitigate hazardous conditions in the workplace. </li><li>Ensure Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) are up to date, communicated, and adhered to by all employees. </li><li>Promote a zero-incident safety culture by actively engaging employees in workplace safety discussions. </li></ul> <p>Quality & Continuous Improvement:</p> <ul> <li>Drive a culture of quality by implementing and sustaining Layered Process Audits (LPAs) and ensuring adherence to Standard Work procedures. </li><li>Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain high-quality standards and identify process improvement opportunities. </li><li>Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity. </li><li>Coach and mentor employees to ensure consistent execution of Standard Work across all production activities. </li></ul> <p>Leadership & Production Management:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet operational goals. </li><li>Lead shift briefings and stand-up meetings to communicate expectations, key metrics, and reinforce safety and quality priorities. </li><li>Manage and engage a shift fostering a collaborative, high-performance team environment. </li><li>Encourage teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Education: Associate degree or technical college certification required. </li><li>Experience: 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred. </li><li>Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with a focus on safety, quality, and operational efficiency. </li><li>Experience conducting safety training, accident investigations, and workplace hazard assessments (Gemba walks). </li><li>Knowledge of Layered Process Audits (LPAs), Standard Work, and Continuous Improvement principles. </li><li>Ability to make sound decisions, manage conflict, and drive results in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Excellent communication and coaching skills to develop a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork. </li></ul>
