<p>Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for a highly motivated Senior Electrical Engineer with our EPC Group in West Allis, WI. This position is responsible for leading the process electrical design for several simultaneous small to medium or a few larger food & beverage projects from proposal stage to project closeout.</p> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Create process electrical engineering designs at all levels of project definition (concept, preliminary, detailed, construction issue). </li><li>Design raceway and wiring for low-voltage motors and devices. </li><li>Design device level network architecture. </li><li>Design control panels for various applications. </li><li>Develop project technical memorandum and reports. </li><li>Perform equipment specification and proposal solicitation. </li><li>Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents. </li><li>Create project specification and scope of work contract documents. </li><li>Assistance in project construction cost estimating. </li><li>Creation of project schedules. </li><li>Carryout contracting bidding meetings, on-site construction verification, and project system start up. </li><li>Visit project site to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents. </li><li>Assist in project proposal labor estimating. </li><li>Instructs technicians to reduce drawings and markups to working drawings. </li><li>Use CAD on occasional basis for design and plan development. </li><li>Attend client meetings, day or night. </li><li>Assist in client contact and communication pertaining to projects. </li></ul> <p>Occasional travel will be required.</p> <p>The successful candidate must have:</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university. </li><li>Minimum of 6 years of engineering firm experience (or equivalent). </li><li>Valid driver's license required. </li></ul> <p>The preferred candidate will have:</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience with Food & Beverage projects. </li><li>Experience with AutoCAD, SKM and/or Easypower, Visual Lighting. </li><li>Strong communication skills. </li></ul> <p>At Mead & Hunt we shape the future by putting people first.
