<p>Overview:</p> <p>Performs a variety of patient care activities in accordance with established standards and practice.</p> <p>Responsible for the day-to-day administrative duties and clinical activities of the APPs in a variety of</p> <p>settings to include but not limited to the outpatient clinic and inpatient setting.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Supervises and provides leadership to a team of APPs.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for all Staffing decisions for APPs in designated area, including but not limited to the following:</p> </li></ol> <p>a. Schedules & Recruitment</p> <p>b. Annual reviews</p> <p>c. Performance/behavior management</p> <p>d. Compliance with annual training, flu shots, etc.</p> <ol start="3"> <li>Supports the overall day-to-day administrative and clinical activities of the team, provides expert </li></ol> <p>medical care under the direction of the supervising physician.</p> <ol start="4"> <li> <p>Maintains an effective operating environment in which assures effective, efficient and safe operations of the team that responds to patient, physician and staff needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Acts as a liaison between physicians and APPs in order to promote cohesiveness.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs assigned shifts as an APP to support the team.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages up matters of significance to Administrator.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains sufficient scheduling to support volumes and to manage crises events</p> </li></ol> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES</p> <p>Skill and ability in electronic medical records applications.</p> <p>Ability to work as a member of a team.</p> <p>Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with team members and patients.</p> <p>Skill and ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.</p> <p>Ability to understand legal issues that influence the practice of the APPs.</p> <p>Ability to lead a team maintaining professional demeanor.</p> <p>Ability to build effective relationships within and outside PHC.</p> <p>Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations and assist when only limited standardization exists.</p> <p>Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.</p> <p>Disclaimer The above information is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job. Required </li></ul> <p>Work Experience</p> <ul> <li>1 year previous supervisory or lead surgical experience. Preferred </li></ul> <p>Licenses and Certifications</p> <ul> <li>ACLS Upon Hire Required and </li><li>BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and </li><li>PA - Physician Assistant Licensed Physician Assistant in the State of Georgia. Updated NCCPA certification for PAs.
