<p>Students may only have 5 open job applications at a time.</p> <p>Work Experience:</p> <p>Entry-Level (Foundational)</p> <p>Work Experience Description:</p> <p>Suitable for students with basic foundational knowledge and little to no practical experience, ideal for freshmen or sophomores who have completed only introductory courses.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Research Assistant supports Institutional Research by creating, administering, and managing surveys and data, conducting interviews and coding qualitative data, and collaborating with other departments for program reviews. Must be self-motivated and able to keep deadlines and schedules. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Create and assist others in creating surveys in Qualtrics or Microsoft Forms.</p> </li><li> <p>Administer surveys, gather and share results, and offer training on survey research methods.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide data and support to programs during program review, including coordinating and communicating with faculty and department leads.</p> </li><li> <p>Use Excel to analyze data via pivot tables for data presentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Use SPSS, Stata, R, and/or other software for statistical analysis (e.g., descriptive statistics, frequencies).</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with interviewing, including knowledge of proper interview protocol, maintaining neutrality, and effective follow-up questioning.</p> </li><li> <p>Focus group facilitation.</p> </li><li> <p>Audio recording and file management.</p> </li><li> <p>Use transcription software (or similar) and equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Qualitative analysis of transcripts and survey open-ended responses, including response coding, identifying themes, summarizing themes and major findings.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct literature reviews on an as-needed basis.</p> </li><li> <p>Presentation of findings, processes, methodologies (on campus and at regional or national conferences).</p> </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <p>Upper-Division Courses Completed</p> <p>Work Experience</p> <p>6 Months of Directly Relevant Experience</p> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>Typical office and conservator lab environment</p> <p>Base Rate Per Hour:</p> <p>14.50</p> <ul> <li>Must exemplify the university Honor Code, including the Dress and Grooming Principles and Expectations </li><li>Preference will be given to students who can work during academic breaks </li></ul>
